Description
2/10/25 - For sale is a rare, FN FAL that is within the amnesty of the ATF Ban. The rarity of the G-series FN-FAL rifles stems from the receivers being capable of accepting select-fire components, e.g. being capable of being converted to a fully automatic rifle. Initially, the BATF determined that these had to be registered or destroyed. However, in 1963 the BATF reversed this position and determined that they were not "machine guns" and could be legally imported and sold as semi-automatic rifles. Additionally, in 1973, the BATF issued a new opinion that specifically exempted, 1,836 G-series FN-FAL rifles as imported by Browning (by serial number) from the provisions of the National Firearms Act.
This rifle is listed by serial number within the exempted serial number block. The left side of the lower receiver is correctly marked "A/R/S", which are the fully automatic markings; with the selector switch correctly factory blocked so that it can't rotate to the automatic position. These are the same original markings as found on original select-fire rifles. This particular example is in excellent condition, with scratches to the finish on the receiver. The bore is very bright with great rifling. The rifle comes equipped with a Hensoldt Wetzlar Dialytan 4x Scope mounted on the top cover. The original top cover is included with the package. The rifle also has a custom-fitted Browning transit case along with 2 aluminum 20 round magazines, a loading tool, a Browning book on the FAL, the lens cap, and a list of the serial numbers of the FN-FAL amnesty.
