Description

5/18/22 - This is a very rare Savage Model 720, one of only 13,000 produced for the military in riot configuration in 1943-44. While a near identical shotgun to the Remington Model 11, this is the first we've had as compared to dozens of the Model 11. It's all correct and original with minor thinning and patina on the receiver but no major areas of wear. Excellent, shiny bore. Receiver is marked with the flaming bomb and U.S. stamps. It also correctly has three asterisks on the barrel, whereas the training guns had four. The fore-end and stock are in excellent condition with minimal handling wear.
