Description

7/12/24 - - This is a very rare Savage Model 720, one of only 13,000 produced for the military in riot configuration in 1943-44. While a near identical shotgun to the Remington Model 11, these are significantly harder to find. It's all correct and original with hardly any bluing loss to mention. Minty bore. Receiver is marked with the flaming bomb and U.S. stamps. This is also the earlier and more desirable variation with engraved commercial game scene. It also correctly has three asterisks on the barrel, whereas the training guns had four. The fore-end and stock are in excellent condition with minimal handling wear.
