Rare Short Norwegian Krag Bayonet with Matched Scabbard

Description
2/17/26- For sale is a rare Norwegian short bayonet for the 1894 Krag rifle with a matched scabbard. This pattern of bayonet was introduced in 1916 and updated in time for WW2, although this bayonet shows signs of both patterns so it may be from the interwar period or a rare variant. The blade has patina and evidence of sharpening and grinding, especially towards the tip. The proofmarks on the ricasso appear to be "OE WG P". The edge of the metal crossguard is marked 134. The wooden handle has moderate wear and some scratching, and one small chip/chunk missing. The scabbard is very nice and retains almost all of the original paint and is nice enough that it may have possibly been repainted at some point in the past. The number "33036" appears on the scabbard, along with the matching serial 134 from the blade. Overall in very good condition.
