Description

1/18/22 - This is a hard to find Springfield contract 1911. There were only about 30,000 of these made and few are found in such nice condition with all original parts. All of the parts are properly marked with an "S" proof stamp including all of the small parts. It has the correct early Springfield grips with 11 checkers between the diamonds. It has the correct barrel (S marked) with an excellent bore. It has the correct early magazine with the fold over metal base. The gun was made in 1915. The original finish rates at about 88 - 90%. This variation is getting very hard to find in all original condition and is definitely a highly collectible pistol.
