Description
10/14/26 - This is a rare Colt Model 1911 that was manufactured in 1918 and is in the proper serial range for a U.S. Navy contract pistol. It has all the correct markings, including the proper intertwined "HP" marked barrel. The gun retains about 93% of its original finish. While there isn't much actual bluing loss, there is very light pinpricking or frosting in much of the finish. There are some areas of minor pitting on the right side of the slide and freckling on the grip straps, and there is an area at the back left of the slide near the rear sight with some small dings in the metal. Fitted with excellent checkered wood grips and comes with a proper two-tone magazine. 8/10 bore with strong rifling and some light frosting throughout.
