SOLD - Rare Winchester M1 Garand - Win-13 - Scott Duff Collection

5/19/22 - This is a scarce and desirable "WIN-13" Winchester M1 Garand manufactured in 1945. This specific rifle represented the "WIN-13" example in Garand Guru Scott Duff's personal collection, as documented by the accompanying letter. It also has one of his brass inventory tags attached to the front sling swivel. The rifle is all-correct and Mr. Duff filled out and signed an M1 Garand data sheet that comes with the package. Also included are shipping documents from the DCM. As noted, he changed the bolt to a correct blued one, and stated he believed the rest of the rifle to be both correct and original. There are no arsenal rebuild markings or evidence of an overhaul. The op rod is uncut. The finish on the receiver and trigger group is very nice, but most of the thinning is on the barrel and gas tube. Bore is relatively shiny with strong rifling and just a little bit of frost. Overall condition is very good, with a TE of 2.0 and ME of 1.0. Wood has nice, clean cartouches with only a few minor dings. Includes a 1945 sling and cleaning kit in the butt.
