Description
1/8/21 - This is a rare and original set of body armor that would have been used by a machine gunner in World War I. It includes the large, heavy steel breast plate with the three lower articulated torso steel plates. This set is constructed from steel plates 3/20ths of an inch thick, and is of the typical style that was produced for use by machine gunners and snipers during WWI, and is what you usually see in the WWI and WWII German newsreels. The armor features the original paint, but period replaced straps as the originals would have been made of canvas. One plate has a serial number, and there is some internal paint but unsure the significance. Our first time ever offering such a piece!Specifications
