Description

3/5/21 - This is a very nice example of a Red 9 Mauser C96 Broomhandle issued to the Imperial German army in WW1. The gun comes with an original 1914-dated "Gott Mit Uns" military belt buckle, a custom glass presentation case, and an original stripper clip. The gun is all matching and has a "Germany" export mark, indicating it was later sold in the international commercial market. There is a "P.H.12.28" unit marking on the front strap. It has retained roughly 85% of its original bluing. There is wear around the muzzle and on the high edges. There is streaky wear on the barrel and both sides of the frame. Areas of spotty oxidation on the right side of the slide. Excellent matching grips. The bore is nice with strong rifling.
