Description
5/21/26- For sale is a refinished German M16 helmet. The original shell is a German WWI era M16/17 helmet with a "Q62" manufacturer and size code. The helmet exterior has been sanded and repainted to resemble an early SS helmet. The earliest formations of the SS used repurposed WWI era helmets before the newer M35 and M40 helmets were adopted. The helmet has a smooth black paint coat and reproduction party shield and SS decals. The helmet interior is unpainted and has mild patina. There is some grinding/sanding on the manufacturer stamping, potentially to make it readable. Overall in excellent condition.
