Description

1/12/26- For sale is a nice Remington 1917 bayonet. These bayonets were made for US forces during WWI and were heavily based on the British 1913 pattern bayonets, even going so far as to include the grooves on the handles to differentiate bayonets in British armories. There is a mix of patina and original darkening on the blade. The blade has the proper Remington designation and 1917 year mark. The other side of the blade has the US stamp, the flaming bomb, and several proofmarks. The handle is intact, with one very small chip, no cracking, and no deep scrapes. The leather on the scabbard is fully intact. The metal fittings have patina but no damage. The belt hook is present and functional. Overall in very good condition.
