Description

10/3/24 - This is a good example of a Remington Mark 2 Flare pistol from WW1. The Mark 2 flare pistols are a scarce variant as their successor the Mark 3 were made in vastly superior numbers. This example has a beautiful brass frame that is marked on the left side "Navy Yard , N.Y.". The barrel is marked "Mark II". The barrel does have patina and light pin prick pitting throughout. The bore of this flare pistol is in fair shape with some pitting about halfway up. The barrel also has two dents at the front that do deform the barrel inward. This flare pistol is also missing it's firing pin assembly, so it currently is unable to fire. The frame, ejector, and barrel are matching serial numbered "113".
