Description
10/14/26 - This is a Sauer Model 1919 in 6.35mm designated for the Reichs Finanz Verwaltung. It is marked "R.F.V. 95" on the left side of the slide, indicating it was issued to the RFV. This German department was in charge of the borders as well as government financial matters - much like our own IRS and border police. Agency-marked pistols like this one are scarcer than the standard commercial guns and make a great addition to a collection of German police and government sidearms. All matching. The original finish rates about 96%, with just minor high edge and muzzle wear. Fitted with period-correct black bakelite S&S grips and comes with what appears to be a matching numbered magazine. Excellent, strong shiny bore with strong rifling, 9/10.
