SOLD - J.P. Sauer K98 Rifle

12/29/17 - This is an original WW2 production "CE" K98 Rifle. The receiver is marked "CE" which is a J.P. Sauer & Sohn manufacturing code. The rifle receiver is dated 42, and serial numbered 8325m. The rifle is all matching except for the barrel band and stock. The bolt, receiver, rear sight, and floor plate are all matching numbed. The butt plate is waffen proofed with a "bpr" code. The wood stock is serial numbered 6139 and "P" proofed. The wood is in great condition with a nice reddish striping throughout the wood. The wood has no cracks or chips. The metal has some wear and there is a significant amount of bluing loss, but there is no significant rust or pitting to note. The bore has strong rifling but there appears to be patina/residue within the rifling and throughout the bore, which leaves us with a rating of about 6 or 7 out of 10. Priced to sell based on condition, guaranteed all original.
