Description

11/19/24 - This is a rare, stunning Felix Arnd Berlin Sidelock Target Pistol manufactured in 1890, featuring a fluted octagonal break-barrel and single set trigger. Early sidelock target pistol in the style of a percussion pistol. When the opening lever is turned to the right, the double barrel hook lock is pulled out of the barrel hooks and the barrel is tilted, then top loaded with individual bullets. No wear to note on the engraved floral motifs throughout the receiver, trigger guard, sidelock, screws, and front of the muzzle. "Felix Arnd Berlin" inlaid on the right side of the receiver and top of the barrel. The barrel shows some minor thinning and handling wear here and there, as well as some extremely minor freckling in a couple of places, but is otherwise in phenomenal condition given its age. Buttstock is made of gorgeous ebony horn that is also in excellent shape, with one tiny ding at the upper perimeter. Wood Stock shows equally well preserved sharp checkering minimal signs of use. Bore is stone mint. Featured in the book "Die Scheibenpistole" by Brukner/Halfmann, p. 163. Antique, so no licensing required.
