Description

5/10/21 - This is an excellent and hard-to-find Walther P.38 from 1940, with 'ac 40' proof on slide. It's all matching and original with 96-97% of the blue remaining. Standard high edge wear on the muzzle and forward edges of the slide, and minor freckling on the right side of the slide. Grips are E/359 proofed and matching numbered to the pistol. Slide, frame and barrel are all 'ac' marked. De-cocker/safety works correctly. Small parts are all properly waffen stamped including the magazine which has the double waffen stamp on the spine. Unfortunately the magazine bottom, which is matching numbered to the gun, is likely force matched. Well done, but we do not believe it was roll stamped. Bore has minor frost but strong rifling. Overall an excellent example of a scarce P.38 that is often found in far worse condition.
