Description
4/4/25 - For sale is a nice Inland M1A1 Paratrooper Carbine with a serial number that falls under the first production run. The carbine is in great shape with a nice parked finished on the metal. The receiver has a slight brownish color to it from patina. The barrel finish has an interesting tiger stripe-like pattern, but it also appears there's a shadow of a previously removed bayonet lug. The stock and handguard are in great shape with minor handling marks. Handguard is an original Inland but doesn't appear to match the paratrooper stock, and the base stock has been sanded on both sides. The rear of the forestock is stamped with a Circle P with a 0.5" diameter. The bottom of the pistol grip is stamped with an IO and a small cross cannon cartouche in the path of the folding stock. Within the stock channel is stamped IO and the handguard is stamped IO as well. The internals are also Inland parts. The stock looks to be a correct one with correct rivets on the cheek pad. The buttplate has the correct forge marks. The bore is bright with strong rifling. In summary, the rifle has original Inland parts throughout, but the gun is likely a put-together that did not leave the factory as an M1A1.
