9/1/21 - This is a nice example of a Hi Standard Model B pistol, manufactured in the 1940's. These were issued to the US military for service weapons training. They were widely used by the US Navy. About 14,000 made. This one is all matching, has the proper military cross-canon cartouche, and is properly "Property of US"-marked. It has retained about 90-92% of its gorgeous high polish finish. Most of the finish loss is on the grip straps, with a little wear on high edges and either side of the barrel. Mismatched serial on frame and slide. Comes with excellent grips and a proper magazine. Minty bore.
