Description

7/26/22 - This is a fairly scarce and desirable second variation Remington 1911A1 from late '42 or early '43. It has the proper slide variation where the legend extends past the slide stop, and it has a correct HS barrel. The parkerized finish is original with some thinning in a few areas, and was somewhat difficult to provide a percentage rating on. The grips show some smoothing, especially the left panel, but no cracks. 'S' marked magazine. Excellent bore that was seemingly well cared for.
