Description
10/8/26 - A scarce SU25-marked Luger tool, manufactured in 1935 by the Waffenwerkstatt of Heereszeugamt - depot-issued spares that were also included in the Waffenmeister kits distributed to armorers. Per the book Luger Tools: Originals, Fakes, and Reproductions, the markings on these tools are invariably hard to read - most SU25 tools are believed to have been stamped with a broken die (p. 72) - so the soft stamp is correct for the type. This example bears no serial number and retains very little of its original finish, most of it on the high edges, but the tool is strong and fully functional with no chips or cracks in the metal. An affordable example of a depot tool most Luger collectors have never seen in person.
