Description
4/17/25 - This is a very nice example of a scarce Winchester Model 12 shotgun in riot configuration. It was manufactured in 1942 and issued to the U.S. military. The receiver is marked 'U.S.' with the flaming bomb, and the stock features the crossed cannons cartouche. It does not have inspector's initials, however. The original bluing is in good condition with thinning on the barrel, mag tub and underside/edges of receiver. Proper 20in barrel that hasn't been shortened or modified. Barrel has '42 date on underside. Excellent bore and smooth action. Excellent wood furniture, with a couple of minor surface cracks on the wrist. Correctly has not been inletted for sling swivels. Very small gap is present at edges of buttplate.
