Description
2/11/22 - This is an early Smith & Wesson Mk II Hand Ejector revolver from the 1910s. This is the second iteration of the Triple Lock revolver, considered by some to be the finest revolver ever made. The Mk II doesn't have the shroud for the ejector or third locking lug. The British and Canadian militaries pressed for the removal of the third locking lug due to concerns that the precision mechanism would collect dirt and cause the gun to malfunction. Additionally, this change and the removal of the ejector shroud simplified manufacturing, allowing Smith & Wesson to drop the price of the gun by two dollars at the time. This revolver has matching numbers throughout but finish was re-blued at some point. Mechanics seem good, we didn't find issue with timing or lock up. Excellent bore. Grips are in great shape but were replaced.Specifications
