Description
8/12/25 - This is a very nice example of a DWM Luger sold in the commercial market in the 1920's. It is chambered in 9mm Luger. It is all matching and has the proper "Crown N" commercial proofs. There is an "Su 38" proof on the right side of the slide. From research, this seems to indicate the gun was sent to and reworked at the Simson factory. This one also comes with a WW2 capture document. While the document is authentic for the period, the serial number is written in pencil later. So we cannot say with absolute certainly that this paperwork is original to this gun. The gun has retained about 93% of its original finish with general high edge and muzzle wear. While there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there are areas of light freckling and pin-pricking here and there. Fitted with minty, WW2-era, "Eagle 655" proofed grips and comes with a post-war magazine. The rifling in the bore is decent, but there is noticeable pin-pricking throughout.
