Description
8/15/25 - For sale is a Mauser K98k that was sent to Chinese forces in the 1930's. This rifle was used by the Nationalist Forces under Chiang Kai Shek fighting against the Communists. The receiver and barrel are both stamped with the Nationalist Chinese Sun. The rifle is in great shape compared to other Chinese Mausers, as they were used hard and stored poorly. The rifle retains an aged and darkened bluing with patina. There is pitting along the woodline. The finish on the barrel bands and barrel is fading to a grey. The stock is in great shape without any cracks. Appears to be a replacement from another 98 style mauser. The trigger guard assembly is slightly short compared to the cutout and the front barrel band is held in with a cross pin. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The rifle has matching numbers on the receiver, barrel, rear sight, and the action screws. The bolt is mismatched.
