Description
04/22/26 - For sale is a French St Etienne Mle 1874 M.80 Gras that was converted to a .22LR rifle. The rifle had a barrel/chamber sleeve inserted for the conversion. The bolt head was further modified to accept the .22LR cartridge. The receiver and barrel have a nice aged bluing with browning patina. The stock has light surface marks but in excellent condition. The brass curved trigger guard with finger rests is also in good shape. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The rear sight is replaced for the .22LR round and goes to 35m distance. Matching numbers on the receiver, bolt, bolt head, and cocking. The rifle sits in a potbelly stock that is not a cut-down military stock. The rifle was likely used by shooting clubs.
