Description
12/2/25- For sale is a German Red Cross dagger. Most German organizations during the Third Reich period were issued with dress daggers and the Red Cross was no different. These daggers are unique because the Red Cross is a humanitarian organization and is strictly regulated by the Geneva Conventions. Therefore, these daggers are flat tipped so that they are not classified as an offensive weapon and rather as a "tool" due to the sawblade edge. The blade is very clean with only small spots of wear and patina. The sawteeth are sharp and the blade tip is flat which IS correct for this blade. There is some light pitting and patina on the handle fittings but no serious damage. The handles are intact and functional. The scabbard has most of its original paint, again with no serious damage. The frog is fully intact and the leather is still flexible. The frog is marked jkh 41, giving an approximate age to the blade as well. Overall in excellent condition.
