Description
3/24/23 - This is an original WW2 production German Medical Red Cross Hewer. The dagger features a sawblade edge and an unsharpened blade. There's mild surface oxidation and patina throughout each side of the hewer, with some darker spots of rougher surface corrosion, but these are relatively small. The blade is stamped "Ges. Geschult" on one side, but there's no maker stamp. The leather stopper is original and still intact. The handle is excellent with no cracks or chips, and the metal portions of the handle have typical surface patina but no rust or pitting. Comes with an original scabbard that's rough with surface rust throughout, as shown. This is honest wear however and the finish is still present as well. The attached leather frog is unmarked.Specifications
