Description

6/5/25 - This is an original and correct Steyr Hahn M1912 that was reworked by Mauser for use by the German police during WW2. The Steyr Hahn 1912 was manufactured in Imperial Austria, but after the 1938 German occupation of Austria some were converted to 9mm Luger. They were stamped '08' to indicate this conversion, E/N proofed, and accepted with the German Police Eagle/L. Slide and frame are both dated 1915. The finish rates roughly 85%. The majority of the wear is on the grip straps, but there is also general high edge wear and some light scratching along the slide. Nice period-correct wood grips, but they fit a little loose. Minty bore.
