Description
5/5/26- For sale is a rare Wehrmacht fiber parade helmet. These helmets were made of a pressed synthetic fiber material to create a lightweight helmet that could be worn on parade and look visually similar to steel helmets while being cheaper and easier to produce. The helmet is generally shaped like a standard Stalhelm, except for the large air vents to help with soldier comfort. The exterior has some light scuffing to the paint but no major bare patches and obviously no rust or corrosion. The helmet has the national tricolor and Nazi eagle decals, indicating it was in use before 1940. The interior and exterior are painted with the same flat gray color. The helmet liner is not a standard combat helmet liner but is rather a nice Robert Lubstein liner with a cloth liner on the inside of the helmet crown. Lubstein was a well-regarded military cap maker so their name associated with experimental headwear makes sense. Overall in very good condition.
