Description
05/08/26 - This is an excellent example of a Colt 1911A1 manufactured in 1941. Colt produced fewer than 35,000 units that year, representing just 1.8% of total World War II 1911A1 production. The frame features a crisp "W.B." (Waldemar Broberg) inspector stamp alongside a clear crossed cannons ordnance wheel. It correctly features a matching numbered slide and frame, paired with a proper "COLT 45 AUTO" marked barrel bearing a large "G" stamp underneath. The pistol retains approximately 96-97% of its original parkerized finish, showing only minor wear and a bit of thinning along the high edges of the slide, underside of frame, and dust cover, as well as light handling wear on the front strap. The firearm is fitted with a pristine set of proper Coltwood grips, correctly featuring the distinctive large flat rings around the screw holes and showing no notable handling stress. The package is completed by a high-condition "L" marked magazine. The bore remains bright with strong rifling.
