Description
7/18/25 - For sale is a Westley Richards No1 Falling block carbine made around the 1870's. The No1 Carbine is the lightweight / cavalry variant of the .450 line of rifles. The metal has aged nicely with a couple speckling of surface oxidation. The barrel has nice patina. The stock and forend are in great shape with minor handling marks. There is a very fine hairline crack at the tang. The stock has a provision for a trapdoor compartment. Butt plate is stamped "Z 1776" for potentially the manufacture year. The bore is fairly bright with good rifling, but a couple prickling of pitting visisble. The action functions properly.
