Description

1/22/26- For sale is an 1865 dated cavalry saber from the American Civil War. The blade is bright, with only minimal patina and no serious damage. There is no evidence of grinding or sharpening. The base of the blade is stamped "US 1865 A.G.M." on one side and "c. Roby Chelmsford Mass." on the other. There is some wear and flaking on the leather of the grip, revealing the wood underneath in a few spots. The handguard has patina but no serious damage. The scabbard has patina but no serious dents or damage. The hanger rings are intact. Overall in excellent condition.
