7/31/25 - This is a Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle, manufactured in 1905 and chambered in .38 WCF. It has lost most of its original finish with honest "attic patina" throughout and some noticeable dings and scratches along the barrel. The front sight has been modified - it appears someone welded a screw on there and shaved it flat. The wood furniture is very nice with minimal signs of wear but there is a roughy 3.5" chip along the top of the right side of the forend. The bore has decent rifling, but there are areas of heavy pitting. Smooth action.
