Description

12/23/21 - This is a very rare 1937 Mauser Banner Luger that was part of a small contract order by Thailand's government. It was reported only 150 were ordered, and roughly 35 now remain. These saw extensive use and the finish was presumably arsenal re-done in Thailand. It has all matching numbers, with a period original but mismatched magazine. Unmarked grips. Strong, shiny bore. The finish shows some visible patina on the grip straps, sideplate and left side frame. Not much bluing loss overall, some on trigger guard and rails. Smoothing of the checkering on the grips but no cracks or chips. Import mark on trigger guard.
