Description

12/13/22 - This is a very rare 1940 Police Eagle/C Mauser Banner Luger from World War II. Only 2,850 Police Eagle/C Lugers were made and only about 60 are currently known to exist (Jan Still's Axis Pistols). Most of the police Lugers were stamped Eagle/L. This falls into the correct range with X suffix (only W,X suffix). It has all matching parts and a correct police magazine. The magazine appears to be matching BUT it looks like some scratched the bottom of the 9. It is not matching but very close to the pistol. The original finish is excellent at about 95%, but the notable caveat is the area of pitting on the left side of the frame. The bore is mirror and the grips are sharp. It has the correct police sear safety.
