SOLD - Super Rare Mauser C96 - Persian Contract

1/27/22 - This is an excellent example of an original and ultra rare Mauser C96 that was part of a small Persian contract order. Manufactured in 1910 in a 1,000 piece lot running through serial number 154000-154999, the Persian Contract Mauser is distinguished by the present of a small "rising sun" stamp on the left side of the barrel extension and a Persian crest (a lion wielding a scimitar, with a sun rising from its back and a crown above) on the milled panel on the left side of the frame. This one has all matching numbers throughout, including the grips and all internal parts aside from the magazine floorplate. Excellent, original blue that rates at about 90%, so this one compares very well to other known examples as most are quite worn. Stock wear on the rails and either side of the barrel, and some patina on the magazine housing. Nice bore with minor frost. Excellent grips with no cracks or chips.
