| Condition: | Very Good |
Description
2/10/26- For sale is a German M16 combat helmet made by the rare "Bell L" firm, officially known as R. Lindenberg. The rivets for the liner and chinstrap attachment have rounded heads and the ventilation lugs have rounded edges rather than straight sides, both of which are typical features of this manufacturer. The maker mark is not clearly stamped but there appears to be the bottom edge of a bell and the numbers "64", which is correct because "Bell L' have only been observed in size 64. The exterior of the helmet has the rounded rivets and lugs typical of this manufacturer. The exterior appears to be repainted. There are two dents and one puncture in the top of the helmet, potentially from battle damage but this is unconfirmed. The interior of the helmet has patina and loss of paint. The leather liner is present but fully detached from the helmet. The liner has all six flaps and the connecting string so it appears original and fully intact, it just is no longer attached to the shell. Overall in very good condition.
