USMC NCO Sword by WKC Solingen with Scabbard

Description

11/6/26 - For sale is a U.S. Marine Corps NCO sword made by WKC of Solingen, Germany, with its scabbard. The Marine Corps NCO sword follows the pattern of the Civil War era foot officer's sword and is still carried by Marine NCOs today, making it one of the oldest weapons in continuous use by U.S. forces. WKC is a long-time maker of these swords for the Marine Corps. This example has the cast brass hilt with pierced scrollwork guard and oak leaf backstrap, and a leather wrapped grip bound with twisted wire. The bright stainless blade is etched "United States Marines" with scrollwork and trophies, and the ricasso carries the six-pointed "proved" star, "STAINLESS," and the WKC knight head logo with "Solingen Germany." The black leather scabbard has silver colored throat and drag fittings, with an engraved number on the drag. The hilt finish shows mottling and wear, and "DH 59" is hand marked on the ricasso. A handsome Marine Corps NCO sword by WKC, complete with its scabbard. Please see photos for details.
