2/5/25 - This is an excellent example of a late-war Inland Paratrooper M1 Carbine issued to the US military in 1945. The receiver dates to 1945 and the barrel is Inland marked and dated February of 1945. This one has an adjustable rear sight, which could be correct for a serial number this late. However, a bayonet lug was added, so this gun was likely reworked for the Korean War. It has retained nearly all of its finish with just some minor thinning and oxidation on the top of the bolt. Very light scuffs here and there along the barrel. Nice wood stock but has lightly sanded and the Circle P on the back is very faint. The pistol grip is marked "RI" on the bottom. The color of the handguard and stock do not match, so they were likely paired later. Mint bore. Comes with a green canvas sling and one magazine.
