Description

9/16/24 - This is a very nice example of a hard to find 1940 Krieghoff. Most of the Krieghoff's you find are S Code, 1936 or 1937. After that, they become very scarce, with only about 1,000 of them made in 1940. This one is in good condition but has some spot cold blue touch-up. Comes with an original HK mag that is close in serial but mismatched, and correct Bakelite black grips. The finish covers about 90% of the gun but with some brown patina coming through the finish from age, so a little tough to rate. Small parts show excellent straw. The magazine release is fire-blued. Bore shows some freckling throughout, and some smoothing of the rifling. This 1940 Krieghoff was issued to the Luftwaffe during the war years and is a very nice example of a desirable collectors piece. Robert Saltsman collection.
