Description
12/11/24 - For sale is a rare Type 66 Arisaka made for the Kingdom of Siam around 1923. The King would decide on working with Japan on adopting a rifle similar to the Type 38 Arisaka; though neither of these rifles have any parts interchangeability. This rifle is in well worn but good condition. The receiver has the Siamese Chakra stamped with "Type 66" in Thai. The metal retains the majority of its old bluing but is slightly browning with age. There are scatting of oxidation visible on the metal but no active corrosion or pitting. The stock is well worn but structurally sound. There are numous dings and hits on the stock, and on the wrist area on the right side there is a 1" sized piece missing. There is a hairline crack visible coming from the tang on the left side. The bore is well worn and has little rifling left when a light is shined through. The cleaning rod and dust cover is absent.
