09/14/26 - For sale is a rare British L42A1 Lee Enfield Sniper chambered in 7.62x51 NATO. These rifles were adopted as the main sniper rifle used by the British military during the Cold War and were replaced by the Accuracy International L96A1 in the 80s. The rifle has a dark enamel finish throughout the metal parts. There are areas with the finish flaking off, and the surface had oxidize dand some surface rust has developed. The stock and fore-stock are in excellent condition without any cracks or breaks. The bore is bright with strong rifling. Rifle comes with a No 32 Mk 3 scope made in 1945. Similar to the receiver, the finish is flaking off, and there's oxidation and old surface rust. The scope lens is clear with a sharp reticle. The rifle has matching numbers on the receiver, bolt, stock, and scope mount. The scope mount is restamped and the stock serial had the same serial number was canceled but restamped. The rifle comes with an original transit case and a case for the scope.
