Description
2/26/26 - This is a rare example of a 1938 Kriegsmarine Mauser S/42 code Luger with an 'N2490' property mark on the backstrap. This 'N' property marking signifies that this was one of the estimated 1,300 that was went to the Wilhemshaven base during 1938. This Luger is all-matching, including the wood grip panels. This Luger has retained roughly 65-70% of its original blued finish. Aside from the significant high-edge wear and muzzle wear, there is finish thinning over the whole firearm. The take down lever has significant denting, as well as some light denting on the front edges of the trigger guard. The barrel shows signs of pitting. The original, serialized wood grip panels show no signs of chips or cracks, but there are four 1/2" serrations or notches towards the back of the left panel. The bore is bright with crisp rifling, but does have some channels of frost. There is an import mark on the bottom of the barrel. Comes with a Eagle/211 serialized (not matching) magazine.
