06/08/25 - For sale is a very rare Springfield M1 Garand in 7.62 NATO that was built as a Match rifle for the US Air Force. The receiver has a nice dark parkerized finish with light discoloration from wear. The stock has a shiny finish without any cracks or breaks. There are two deep abrasions on the bottom, in front of the magazine. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The barrel is made by Rock Island and dated 6-69. The side of the barrel is also properly marked "AFPG" for the Air Force. As a match rifle, there were many parts polished for a smooth operation. The op rod is National Match Marked as well as the rear sight. The top of the bolt is marked 7.62mm. Comes with a CMP Certificate of Authenticity.
