Description
05/06/2024 - This is a rare German G33/40 Mountain carbine from World War II. After the annexation of Czechoslovakia, the Germans would use the Vz.33 Carbines and turn them into the G 33/40 carbines and were issued to the German ÄúGebirgstruppenÄù, or Mountain Infantry, where the metal plate on the left side of the butt was used to keep the stock from harm while using the rifle for assistance in climbing. This one is dated 1940 has a "945" factory code on the receiver, indicating it was made by Waffenwerke Brunn. The metal is in good condition plenty of the original bluing still remaining but it is fairly worn. The stock is in good shape with no cracks but has been sanded. The bolt and the receiver do not match but the stock matches the receiver. The bore is dark with visible rifling.Specifications
