SOLD - Weimar era Police Luger - 2 Match Mags, Matching Tool & Holster

4/17/17 - This rig has it all!  It started out as a 1920's era commercial Luger, most likely .30 caliber.   However, in the early 30's (Weimar era) it was diverted and converted into a police gun, and barreled for 9mm.  They also added the police sear safety and then made it into a full rig.  All small parts on the gun are matching!  The grips look original, but are unnumbered.  The left grip has the typical chip in it, and on the inside it has the name Joseph F. Spihell (or something close to that)   Most likely the policeman who carried it in the 30's and 40's.  Written in old Germanic.  The tool is police unit marked and numbered to the gun.  The magazines - one probably original was renumbered by the police, and then a second aluminum based mag was added - with matching police numbering.  The spare mag is an excellent Haenel Police magazine.  They even added the 1933 dated police holster and it was also numbered to the gun.  The holster is police proofed an in excellent condition.   If this one could talk...there is a lot of history here.  The finish is about 95% and most likely blued when the gun was re-arsenaled.  The bore is shiny and strong.   I would rate it a 7.5 out of 10.  If you like police lugers then this one is a MUST buy at a great price.
