Description

4/22/22 - This is an all original and correct Winchester 1897 riot shotgun. Likely it was being made for WW1 but then the war ended so it was sold into the commercial market in 1918. The original finish rates at around 85% with standard age, but not corrosion on the metal. The stock is beautiful considering its age and has the early high comb on the top of the stock. The gun functions very well and will work well for sport shooting, hunting, or just for display as a fine piece of Winchester history. The barrel is marked "Cylinder bore" to show that it was made as a riot gun and not a cut down shotgun. Excellent example of a Model 1897 Riot Shotgun.
