Description

11/13/17 - This is an original WW2 era M1 Garand bayonet. The bayonet has been cut down, as was customary during WW2 when arsenals were repurposing older production bayonets for WWII field use. This bayonet is in excellent condition with only minor cosmetic wear. The blade has some very light discoloration but no signs of sharpening or tampering. The black handle is excellent as well. The blade has a "AFH" maker stamp along with a US Flaming Bomb stamp. The scabbard is similarly Flaming Bomb stmamped. The reverse side of the scabbard has a maker stamp, and "A 37" in red paint painted over the olive green original paint. My guess is this is from a G.I. Guaranteed original and authentic - free shipping!
