2/20/25 - This is a great machine made Japanese Navy Officer's katana, called a Kai-Gunto . The blade on this katana is in great condition. The blade is in excellent condition with no rust or oxidation. The tsuba (hand guard) on this blade is loose. The cord wrapping is still tight. The scabbard on this sword is in great condition, and still has most of its black lacquered finish. The second hanger (ashi) is loose but is still present. This sword would make a fine display piece for any collection.
