3/6/23 - This is a very nice example of a Starr Arms Model 1858 revolver issued to the US military during the Civil War. It is all matching and has the proper military inspection proof on the left side of the wood grip. This one is in better shape than most, retaining roughly 75% of its original finish. Some of the original case-hardening is still visible on some of the small parts. There is spotty wear and oxidation throughout and some areas of splotchy discoloration - it is most noticeable on the front half of the barrel and on the grip straps. Very nice grip with just minor bruising. The bore is mint.
